Unfortunately this really doesn't do it justice. Posted by Picasa
It was such a good morning for a sunrise. Posted by Picasa
More of the view from my spot and more of the fantastic gardens. Posted by Picasa
So come watch the sunrise with me. Oh and can you see the little bird? Isn't he cute? Posted by Picasa
This was the joy of this whole thing. I went from quite dark to lovely morning sunrise. And I also had the opportunity to have this great praise and worship session. It was Sunday, so me and God had church by the Colosseum. It was kind of cool! Posted by Picasa
You can see through the windows with this one. Posted by Picasa
Another wide shot. As you can see, the sun is beginning to rise. Posted by Picasa
Aah, here you get a shot of the two walls. You can also see some of the huge amount of seating. Posted by Picasa
So this would be the "down the street view" for Rome. Posted by Picasa
This seems to say that this has been here for a very long time. Does that really mean 8A.D.? Posted by Picasa
So this is from 180 degrees round. I don't know if you can really tell, but this side doesn't have the outer wall. It seems that there is like an inner wall and an outer wall and on this side the outer one has fallen down. Posted by Picasa
Rome has amazing gardens. This is something of the view across the road from the Colosseum. Posted by Picasa

A bunch of different photos for different perspectives... Posted by Picasa
The Colosseum! Posted by Picasa
On the road to the Colosseum. The pesperctive of this photo was accidental - dictated by the need for a steady surface - but I love it! Posted by Picasa
Ancient ruins of a great city. Posted by Picasa
Can you imagine the Caesars and gladiators and centurians walking around in all this? It just throws you back into history. Posted by Picasa
I think somehow, the whole moonlight thing really does help. Posted by Picasa
I don't know what it is, but somehow you just feel like you are in another world. Posted by Picasa

By the light of the silvery moon... and a massive big lampost! Posted by Picasa
So this is some of the Roman architecture. Somehow it is very strong and stately (strange that really!). It is not as pretty as some of the other architecture around Europe but is still lovely and not overstated either. Posted by Picasa
